The National Space Science Agency (NSSA) participated in the first virtual meeting of “Space Talk,” held by Dr Haitham Al Tuwaijri representing Saudi Space Commission (SSC) and hosted one of the former directors of Nasa, the American astronaut Charles Bolden. NSSA chief executive Dr Muhammad Al Asiri said that the participation in these meetings comes as part of the continuous efforts to raise awareness of space, its sciences and applications, and to define its importance among all segments of society.

NSSA participates in the APRSAF 2020 online forum

NSSA represented the Kingdom of Bahrain at the Asia-Pacific Regional Space Agency (APRSAF) online 2020 forum, which launched its virtual edition on Thursday, 19 November 2020, under the theme 'Sharing Space Visions Beyond Distance'. NSSA received an invitation from the Japanese Space Agency to participate in this distinguished activity. It was represented by the Chief Executive Officer, Dr. Mohamed Ebrahim Al-Aseeri, and by the Head of the Strategic Planning & Project Administration, Ms. Amal Jassem Albenali. A few of NSSA's engineers and technicians, each within his/her own discipline, also took part in several panel discussions.
