The British Embassy, in cooperation with the National Space Science Agency and Clever Play, organized the Science Day event, which aims to attract and educate the future generation from 3 to 14 years old about various future sciences. The Agency’s participation in this event comes to achieve its desired objectives in spreading awareness about the importance of space science among young people and youth because of its great importance.

During its participation, DEWA presented 7 educational and educational programs designed specifically to suit children aged 3 to 14 years, as it works to stimulate and encourage the skill of creative and analytical thinking and problem solving, which has been well received by many children and parents. As a token of love for continuing education, DEWA distributed free copies of SEEK magazine as a gift to all children who participated in the event. This is the only journal of its kind that aims to promote the importance of space science, technology, mathematics, and engineering through scientific challenges dedicated to young people developed through close collaboration with Clever Play.

Attending the event, British Ambassador Rudy Drummond said: “It is great to see children actively engage with different activities that are tailored to their age. We believe that there is a key role for games in developing creative thinking in children by providing them with the tools to solve problems. We are very pleased to collaborate with NSSA and Clever Play, and through this fruitful collaboration we look forward to inspiring many of these children to pursue a career in the STEM sector in the future, especially as these fields are closely related to the demands of the local and international job market.”

For his part, His Excellency Dr. Mohammed Ebrahim Al Aseeri, CEO of NSSA, said: “NSSA’s participation comes to emphasize the importance of investing in the future generation and developing education methodologies in line with scientific developments and to keep pace with the changes in the labor market in all sectors to ensure a better future for future generations. Supporting and participating in such events contributes to developing children’s creative talents and abilities, expanding their perceptions and encouraging parents to adopt the innovative idea of learning.” Al-Aseeri added: “We are pleased with this fruitful participation, and we extend our sincere thanks to His Excellency the British Ambassador to the Kingdom for providing the opportunity to participate and for the support we have received from him and for ensuring that the event achieves all its objectives. The professional implementation of this event contributed to its success.”

Shaikha Latifa bint Mohammed Al Khalifa, Founding Member and CEO of Clever Play, said: “We are very pleased to participate in this distinguished educational event, in which children embarked on an exciting and rich journey in science, technology and engineering, full of the joy of experience and scientific discovery, in an interactive applied atmosphere that stimulates their minds to innovate, and launches their imagination towards broad horizons of creativity and invention. The Clever Play Corner has been carefully designed to provide an inspiring and stimulating environment in several scientific projects centered on topics of importance to the Kingdom of Bahrain, such as sustainability, renewable energy, climate change and others.”

It is worth noting that the event witnessed a wide turnout of visitors to the City Center Mall, where the number of participating children exceeded 200 participants, in addition to the presence of parents and a number of those interested in awareness and educational aspects.
