NSSA Policy on the Release of Information to News and Media
This policy governs the release of public information, which is defined as information in any form provided to media (e.g. press releases, news, social media and web postings), excluding scientific and technical information and reports.
NSSA is committed to a culture of openness with the media and public.
Information provided by NSSA to the public through media channels concerning its activities are made accurately and only after obtaining proper internal authorizations for release.
All media content about NSSA activities or National Space related activities must be approved by NSSA prior to release.
Release of classified or restricted information in any form (e.g., documents, through interviews, audio/visual, etc.) to the news media is prohibited.
Any attempt by media representatives to obtain classified or restricted information about NSSA activities is prohibited.
