H.E. Eng. Kamal bin Ahmed Mohammed, Minister of Transportation and Telecommunications and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the National Space Science Agency (NSSA), had a meeting with a number of Bahrain’s space team members. They presented the Minister with details of their academic careers and an overview of a number of projects they have completed, including their graduation projects. The presentations included technical details for each project, particularly highlighting their building of a satellite, the mission of the satellite, and the scientific benefits and experiences gained from the construction. The presentation also included the achievements of the team members individually in building satellites and space science technologies, and in performing scientific research. The team have published seven scientific studies so far, while there are another eight under publication.

Kamal stated: ‘The achievements of the Bahraini space team, which we have worked to form since the mid of 2018, are a matter of pride, and they seek to promote a team that honors the Kingdom of Bahrain with their achievements. I am quite confident that the coming period will witness more major achievements by this young team. The achievements will be a guiding beacon for the youth of the Kingdom of Bahrain in accepting and overcoming challenges with the determination to ensure the ongoing progress and advancement of this beloved country’.
