NSSA Announce Winners
  • The Design Your Mars Colony competition is a multi-disciplinary competition where students will learn extensively about the planet Mars, brainstorm and research design solutions for food, water, energy, and other critical systems necessary in order to build a colony model from house-hold materials.
  • Winners will receive E-Certificates, Space Trophies and Hands-On STEAM Kits.
  • Nationality: Bahraini
  • Age: 7-12 years
  1. Submit work in English or Arabic.
  2. The work submitted should include the following:
    • Sketch of your idea
    • A small prototype of your idea
    • Photos and videos of you working and explaining what you have created
  3. Design requirements are found below:
    1. Keep humans alive with access to food, water and air.
    2. Provides shelter from extreme temperatures.
    3. Provides energy source to power systems.
    4. Supports human health with access to medical services and exercise.
    5. Offers entertainment and amusement opportunities for humans.
